Ethnographic Research

Due dates:

Thursday, May 3rd: Diptych due at the beginning of the period.

Monday, May 8th: Ethnographic Interpretive paper due (posted to your WordPress sites)

You have devoted a lot of time creating your “field notes” on location in the art room and the chorus room. You have made numerous studies leading to larger, more defined examinations as well as vignetted compositions (illustrations that fade into its background without a definite boarder). These led to your final diptych in which you you presented the findings from your “research”. You have used pencil, charcoal, oil pastel, watercolor, paint and pen & ink. You have compiled  quite a portfolio based on social/cultural observations.

Your reflective writing piece will be an interpretive essay based on the diptych created by a colleague (classmate). You are to write the “story” told by their graphic representation. It will be no less than 250 words and it will be posted to the Writing page of your WordPress sites.
