My absence and end of marking period

November 5, 2009 · Comments Off

I regret having to be absent for the past week. As you know, my mother-in-law passed away and my family has been overcome with sadness. It was uplifting to return yesterday to your faces and your work. As we close this marking period I remind you that my grading of your written work is now based on your WordPress sites. I’ve been enjoying reading your insighful responses to the Honors prompt questions and your Community Connections commentary. Be sure to complete any missing posts so your websites will be at their best.

I’ve enjoyed reading the progress reports and self-assessments posted by the Portfolio students. It appears that you are beginning to learn about your own creative process.

Our next goal is to get all of this marking period’s art work photographed, scanned and uploaded to our sites. Your sites will look very professional and extremely boss!

Work hard and pose not…

The beautiful battle between intention and accident became the subject of the work itself, and each piece is a kind of residue of the artist’s “performance”.
